The New Macbook Pro 2011

Where to Take Your Mac Repairs - Are All Apple Repair Services The Same?
Over the years, the MacBook has undergone a number of changes in the devices and operating system hardware, a widening of the range of product lines and general improved products has occurred. What has become confusing in recent years is the number of different labels applied to various Apple Store and Apple's repair services that are available.
Let's start with Apple Store or the Mac Store, or Apple retailer. Hmmm... Apple Dealers!? How about a bigger title: Apple Authorized Dealer?
It's confusing where to take your Apple Macintosh product when it needs fixing, even more so if you only need a MacBook repair or upgrade. Usually you need both! Many times when Apple MacBook repairs are needed, there is an upgrade of some kind that accompanies the work.
So which option should you use for a MacBook or MacBook Pro repair?

QUESTION:
When is the new Macbook Pro 2011 expected to update?
I'm going to college in fall 2011 and am going to buy a macbook pro. I keep hearing these rumors about the new Mac OS X Lion coming out but does this mean a whole new model will come out too? When do you recommend I buy my laptop for college? Now or August? Also, what accessories do you recommend for a college student besides a bag/case and security lock?ANSWER:
Mac OS X Lion was announced yesterday in WWDC 2011 and it's coming out in July.
It will be available for update through Mac App Store for 29.99$.MacBook Pro was updated 103 days ago, and it will be updated in about other 150.
I would recommend you to buy your laptop in August, if you don't need it now.
I would also recommend you a simple bag, not any security locks and stupid things.
If your laptop has been stolen, you lose it, with Security lock or without.
QUESTION:
Does the new MacBook Pro 2011 come already installed with the new Mac OS X snow Leopard?
I have the new Macbook I just wanted to know if it already came installed with this or do you have to go out and buy it? Also Im getting a mouse for the laptop and some people say you need the new Mac OS X to make it work? Please help thank you!ANSWER:
Snow Leopard is Mac OS X 10.6. Press your Apple menu in the top left and select "About this Mac" and if you have 10.6.x (x = anything) then you have Snow Leopard. Lion is coming out to replace Snow Leopard in the next few months. When that happens, yes you'll have to buy the new OS if you want to upgrade, but you do not have to, you can keep running Snow Leopard.Almost any USB mouse plugged in will work, though some of them might not have proper software if they are like 10 button mice, and it can make it hard to program some of the extra keys, but basically any USB mouse should really work.
You do want to make sure you keep your mac up-to-date though. If you Press that Apple menu at the top left, you can select Software Update, and update the OS and much of the software. You will want to do this regularly.... you can set up Software Update in System Preferences to automatically check for you.
QUESTION:
New macbook pro ? 2011?
HiI am very interesting about the new 2011 macbook pro that just came out yesterday.
well, I have a question
I know it's a lot of different from the previous generation of macbook pro which is (2010) and the graphic has been change from Nvidia geforce 320M to AMD Radeon HD 6490M for the 15" 99
did anyone know that AMD Radeon HD 6490M is better than the old one (GT 320M) ??
and do u think it can playing more game with the high performance ? like crisis, call of duty black ops ?Thanks
ANSWER:
Yes, any of the 15 inches are great for gaming!
Either get the basic 15" if money is an issue, but if you are going to be getting the 15" and doing graphincs along too, the higher end 15" with the 2.2 GHz is a better option and an increase from about 200 mb to 1 gb in the hd.
But yes, the 15" is the best for gaming along with good portability!!
Got mine this morning!!
QUESTION:
Should I get the new 2011 Macbook Pro (15 Inch) or wait until Apple totally revamps the line in 2012?
I want a new computer, and they just released the refresh on the aluminum bodied macbook pro, but there are rumors that apple will be releasing a totally changed one in 2012, exterior and interior, and I don't know if i should wait or not. Also, is the 15 inch better than the 13 inch? Like quad core vs. dual core? Thanks!
ANSWER:
I'm having the same dilemma right now. The thing is that rumors are just rumors. For this new macbook line 2011, rumors were talking about new design, SDD startup, larger trackpad etc. I was so exited only to discover that the processor was better and that they incorporated thunderbold which no one can use right now.To answer your question, I think that if your old laptop is still running fine, no need to buy the new 2011 Macbook Pro. However if you really need a new laptop don't wait a full year impatiently to end up as disappointed as me this year. Chances are they will keep the same design (as they did for a long time with the previous version).
QUESTION:
When to buy the new Macbook Pro 2011?
I'm really interested in the new Macbook Pro announced this year. model MC700LL/A. When and where should I buy the laptop? Would I be able to get it at a cheaper price, if I wait longer? And should I just buy it from the Apple store?
Thanks in advance.
ANSWER:
The price of Apple products doesn't change much even after released for a long time. The old model of Macbook Pro that was released one year ago, now only has 0 difference compared to the price when it was released, even after the new model was out. So I don't think it worth the wait of several months for a tiny drop in price. There is a problem getting from Apple shop, that there is no discount and you have to pay extra tax. I recommend to get it here (Apple MacBook Pro MC700LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop), with a discount and free shipping:

And there is a good review here on the newly released Macbook Pro, see if you find it helpful:
