7 Tips for your MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air
First things first, whenever the term "Macbook" is used in the article body it refers to all three models: Macbook, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air.
1. Secure your Macbook with a password
When a Mac is setup for the first time, and a user account is created, Mac automatically log in that user account every time it is booted or woken from sleep. This feature is fine as long as you are working on a desktop, but if you are using a Macbook notebook, it would be advisable to turn this feature off. The reason is that, God forbid, if your Mac gets stolen, or you are away, any unauthorized person can easily access your information.
2. Tips to elongate your Mac's battery life while travelling
With a MacBook, the keyboard is always lit up. While this is certainly a great feature, it does drain out your battery pretty soon. In order to stretch your battery life, you may want to turn off the keyboard backlighting and Bluetooth; it would be also a good idea to dim the display as low as is possible. These tips are especially useful when you are travelling and the only source of keeping your Mac working is its battery.

Macbook Pro Sales Question?
I'm looking at Macbook pro's for a family member and my friend has one that he would sell to me. my friend is putting a price on his which is (scuse my lang) retarded. ok first off, its used. its missing a key, and it was hit by a car. it all works fine and everyhitng. and its the one with the 2.4 processor, how much do you think it will costANSWER:
Compare the quoted price from Apple's online refurbished store and if it is about 50 - 60% of the refurb then maybe it's worth it, a little more if it has Apple Care warranty with it. IMO I would get a refurb from Apple since they have the same warranties as new Macs.

Macbook Pro Questions(sales,pros,cons,ect.)?
i want a Macbook Pro....and it looks like my parents are getting me one if i get 0...then they will pay for the rest and give it to me for Christmas...but, i was also wondering if they go on sale anytime around the Winter End of the Year Holidays(you know, like thanksgiving, christmas, all the other religous holidays)Because if they do or they did last year...please tell me if they did and if it was at a certain store. Also....if you have one, can you please tell me the Pro's and Con's, i just want to hear more of them.
I'm planning on getting the Macbook Pro 13inch
the one that is 00.
Also, we are planning on getting it from Best Buy, so if you know stuff about best buy sales or something....please tell me
1.money isn't really a problem...i only need like 25 more $$$ and I paid for my share
2.i'm so sick of PC's!!! i don't really care if they cost less...and i don't care about looking"cool" like that one person said...I always say, if you want something, get one of the best, don't fall cheap unless you absolutely need it, i did that with my ipod(ipod touch 2nd generation, but i settled for 16GB and not 32GB, i only need 16GB,and i've only used up a little of it)so you see, money is no problem,i'm sick of PC's(have had one for all my 12 years and have found really no good use, it gives me my basics, but doesn't give me the extra fun like Mac's GarageBand and other cool stuff), and i also don't care about looking cool, all i want is an amazingly awesome laptop/or notebook. and i think Macbook Pro might be the answer to what i want...but i'm still not sure
ANSWER:
Pros: You'll look "cool"Cons: You'll spend twice as much as you would on a PC.
Your choice. T.T
