Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Incase Macbook Pro Rubber Feet Replacement?
I purchased an incase Macbook Pro case off ebay. It was advertised as new but shipped missing a rubber foot. There are no returns, but I am left with a case with only 3 rubber feet, so the laptop isn't level. Does anyone know where I could get a replacement rubber foot?

    • ANSWER:
You call, write or email Incase
      http://www.goincase.com/support/
All that contact information is there. You tell them what you bought, where you bought it, and ask them NICELY if you can purchase a new rubber foot. If you are polite and ASK, as opposed to making any demands, they might just send you 4 new feet for free.

      end of line

  2. QUESTION:
For the silver-key Macbook Pro: Incase vs Speck Case?
I have had my Macbook Pro (not the newest one with black keys) for a little, and that is starting to show through little scratches and things. I want to get a pretty, colorful case for it, so I've narrowed it down to the incase cases and the speck cases. They are about the same price, so either one would be fine. I have read some reviews, and some people have said that the speck case scratches their computers, while others have said the incase one is really hard to take back off, and you can't open your computer more than 90 degrees. Does anyone have any experience with either these cases? Opinions? Reviews? Expert Advice? Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
I have a clear Speck and a black Incase. I don't like either one. The Speck is easy to remove, but it scratches too easily. The Incase doesn't show scratches, but it is difficult to remove. Even worse, it doesn't allow the screen to open fully, and that drives me crazy. I tried to file it along the hinge side, but it still doesn't open all the way. The case that I'm going to order next is the Macbook Case that I found this morning at macbook-case.com.

  3. QUESTION:
How can i find out if i have the macbook pro or the macbook unibody?
i want to buy the grey incase however, there is the macbook pro incase and the macbook pro unibody incase. i don't want to go through the hassle of ordering it and then having to return it if it's not the right one. can someone help me out please :) thanks

    • ANSWER:
The unibody macbooks are made of a single piece of aluminum, so they don't have a plastic rim around the computer. Also, the bezel around the screen is black instead of another sheet of aluminum.

  4. QUESTION:
will a hard shell like one from incase, designed for a macbook pro, work with a powerbook?
I have a 17" powerbook, and im looking for a hard shell case to place over the top and bottom of the laptop. If you know of any sites that sell specifically for the 17" powerbook, please let me know.

    • ANSWER:
Just Google hard cases for 17" computer.

  5. QUESTION:
How do I remove my incase hardshell cover from my macbook pro?
I actually just need to remove the top part. I've spent hours trying to get it off, but every time it moves a bit i stop and worry that i'm gonna break my laptop. What's the best way I can remove it without damaging my computer???

    • ANSWER:

becuase if you break it its yuor fault but if the apple people break it its their fault
