Usually those Ebay batteries work ok, they are all (including Apple's) made in China. That said, ask the ebay seller what the warranty period is before you buy, they don't list it.......The odd one may come as defective, that happens - again check on return policy before buying. I've bought several laptop (Dell/Toshiba) replacement batteries on Ebay with no problems (so far)

for example your laptop is model no.a1181 and your mains charger is a1184 and your battery is a1185. will it not work or may it work but be danerous? cause mine are different should they be all the same model number?ANSWER:
I think as long as they're compatible, it'll be alright, check with apple for compatibility. Normally if the battery and/or charger gave the same output as the original it will be alright. Once I use 45w main charger on my iBook (the original one is 65w) and I still could use it, albeit longer battery charging
