I need a replacement battery for my macbook. After four long years its finally time to replace it. Where ca. I get the cheapest deal on a new one? Apple is too expensive.. here's the exact model I need:
"Macbook rechargeable battery a1185 (white)"
my macbook a1185 keeps shutting down when the battery life reaches 60%?
what do i do to make this stop? and when i try to turn it on it wont let me until i connect it to my ac power charger.
I found a link said Apple A1185 Battery 93% OFF!?
Anyway, I accidentally found this link when I search on the internet, because I wanted to buy an Apple A1185 Battery online. I found this link totally amazing, cause it stated that within less than 2 days, it would host a sales event for this battery, and it was almost 93% OFF! I wonder if it is true. If it is, that will save a whole lot of money!
Check this link out: http://www.bilatek.co.uk/Apple_Macbook_A1185_Battery_Replacement_10_8V_5200MAH_White_13p.html
Is it true?
hey, I checked the link for you and found that it was not 93% OFF, but 45% OFF, maybe they are not holding the big sales event as you see before, but 45% is still a great deal to me. Worth a try. Anyway, I made an order, cause my sister is asking me to find the same battery for her. Hope the battery is good.
Does this replacement battery for my macbook seem legit?
I've had my macbook for over 2 years and the battery is starting to die.
I could do what apple wants me to and purchase a replacement from them which will cost £109
(money which I really don't have, I am a poor college student)
or get one on ebay
If I were to get the ebay one it would obviously be much cheaper, but what's the catch? Will it harm my computer, last only a couple of months? I'm a little lost here, any advice would be great, thank you.
Usually those Ebay batteries work ok, they are all (including Apple's) made in China. That said, ask the ebay seller what the warranty period is before you buy, they don't list it.......
The odd one may come as defective, that happens - again check on return policy before buying. I've bought several laptop (Dell/Toshiba) replacement batteries on Ebay with no problems (so far)
does it matter if your apple macbook laptop is a different model number to you battery or mains adapter?
for example your laptop is model no.a1181 and your mains charger is a1184 and your battery is a1185. will it not work or may it work but be danerous? cause mine are different should they be all the same model number?
I think as long as they're compatible, it'll be alright, check with apple for compatibility. Normally if the battery and/or charger gave the same output as the original it will be alright. Once I use 45w main charger on my iBook (the original one is 65w) and I still could use it, albeit longer battery charging
